<statement>IDs for baseline loch and river waterbodies were collated and their nested catchments exported to a new shapefile. The shapefile was converted to a region coverage with a tolerance of 1m. An AML script was run to copy the waterbody id values from the region to the polygons based on a list of waterbody ids sorted in descending order of catchment size. Polygons remaining without IDs were checked manually and either assigned their correct value or deleted. The shapefile was dissolved on the ID field and series of checks undertaken to ensure that each baseline water body had an associated catchment and that each water body lay within its catchment area.</statement>
