<statement>SEPA's original river water bodies were captured at a scale of 1:50,000 from the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology Digital River Network. With the original water bodies on display, the source and mouth of each river were identified and the shortest path tool used in QGIS to create the new water body from the OS Master Map Water Network Layer. QA checks:
◦ Number of waterbodies match the total in the spreadsheet 'Waterbodies_by_catchment.xls', except in catchments with canal waterbodies where the total in the gpkg will be greater.
◦ All waterbodies have the same number as the original 1:50k waterbody.
◦ With arrow symbology applied at the end of each line, the waterbodies flow downstream (exception for branching waterbodies).
◦ No gaps or overlaps between waterbodies. Note: waterbodies flowing to the Scotland England border were cut using the OS open data product Boundary Line. </statement>
